Hi all,
Well folks, I finally got it, but it was a nightmare to get there.
I kept on opening the hard drive on the Mac, and typing siri
but the file never showed up that way.
So, then, I pressed command spacebar to open spotlight search, and typed siri, and I found the file, but I could not copy the file to the clipboard, with command c. I tryed it 5 times, and it would not copy! Every time I found it in the spotlight search, in the list view, it kept saying new window, and it gave me the path name of the file, but I could not find it in any folder!
So, then, I said, 努ell, what I値l do is, at least I can open the file, so, I値l open the file, and copy the whole contense of the file that way to the clipboard, then, I値l open up text edit, and click on new document, then, I will interact, of course, with the text, and then, I did that, and then pasted it into a new document.
Then, I pressed command s for save, then tabbed through the dialogue box, and when the box comes up for the where do I want to save it, I chose the documents folder.
You only have to do this where you want to save your document, the first time you save a new document, using Text edit, or, unless you want to choose a new location, but I think I値l just leave the default for saving to the documents folder, and then, I can always move it from there to somewhere else.
So, tomorrow. Once I知 done editing this document, I値l post it to the list!
They have really done some cool things in IOS 8, for siri.
If I can post it here tomorrow afternoon, I will, but if not then, then it will be on thursday afternoon.
take care,
Harry
