Occasionally, when I'm working in Windows, usually in Word, I find that
the contents of my folder are no longer arranged in alphabetical order,
but in reverse alphabetical order.

I just figured out how to make this happen on purpose, and I'm posting
it here because other listers have posted about the issue, and no one
has figured out how to get the folder back in the right order.

I'm using Windows 8, but I think Windows 7 was similar in this respect.

Anyway, if you're in the Save or Open dialog in word, you have the edit
field where you type the name of the file, and if you shift+tab twice,
you have the list of files. Between that edit box and the list of files
is an item that says something like, "Header, Name split button." That's
a little tool bar. Arrowing right or left moves focus to options like
Name, Date, size, and type. Pressing enter on the Name split button
toggles between alphabetical and reverse alphabetical order.

I notice this in all Save, Open, and Browse dialogs.
