Hi All,
How do you read line numbers in Word with Jaws or NVDA?
A friend is doing some research. She's transcribed some interviews, and
to site from the text, she needs to use the Word line numbering feature,
then site the number of the line. I'd like to help her as I'm interested
in the research. I've turned line numbering on in Word, and I've set the
document to Print view, but I'm not finding the line number with Jaws or
NVDA.
I know I can use Jaws to tell me what line the cursor is on, and I know
I can add up the number of lines on the pages that came before to figure
out which line I'm on, but I'd like to use Word's numbering because I
don't know if Word counts blank lines, etc.
Does anyone know where to find the line numbers or how to access them
with a screen reader?
I'm willing to try Window-Eyes if someone knows line numbers are
accessible, but I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to learn it
right now if they're not.
Ciao
