I notice Jaws sometimes, verging on often, forgets to mention that links 
are links. When this happens, I can sometimes press enter anyway, but 
more often, I need to use mouse simulation or switch to NVDA.

I think updating your system and your version of Internet Explorer is a 
good idea, especially since you already have Windows 7. The differences 
between XP and Windows 7 are relatively small. They just feel huge for 
the first week or two.
