Hi all,
How do you uninstall programs that just don't want to be uninstalled?
When I installed the KM Player, a video player that sends soft subtitles
to the TTS, I wasn't able to use it because the movies I tried kept
stopping after about ten seconds. I suspected the issue was related to
something called KMP Faster, which was installed along with KM Player.
The two are separate items, but when I used KM Player to play a movie,
another window would open prompting me to fix problems with KMP Faster.
Btw, I'm not clear about what KMP Faster does.
Anyway, I eventually got frustrated and decided to uninstall both. My
thinking was that maybe they weren't Windows 10 ready or something, so I
would try KM Player again in a few months. I went into Programs and
Features, and I had no problem uninstalling KM Player. However, KMP
Faster doesn't want to uninstall. Every time I try, I get the same
window prompting me to fix problems. This window isn't accessible. with
Jaws and with Narrator, I can only read the title, which is something
like, "Fix problems with KMP Faster by Simpletech." With NVDA, I can
arrow around and hear, "Unknown," but nothing happens when I try
activating the Unknowns.
I'm going to try to get sighted help, but if that doesn't work, is there
a way to force uninstall a program In windows? I also notice there are
programs for uninstalling. Which of these are accessible?
thanks.
Ciao
