Those of you based in the UK will know of the highly reputable consumer organisation call "Which?" - and trust me, many manufacturers are scared stiff when Which? give an adverse review.
However, to get back to the issue below, Which? say similar, but still rate Defender as a generally good package, and of course it's free.

Windows Defender has slipped a bit in how good it is at catching viruses, but IMHO, it's still good enough, especially when combined with some common sense, plus it's accessible and doesn't degrade overall system performance.
