I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my previous query. I have
installed and begun using Thunderbird as my email client. So far, so good.
I am still trying to figure out how I can import my Outlook Express
folders, messages and contacts from my old XP hard drive into
Thunderbird on my Windows 7 system. The XP OE data is now on an external
drive in its original formt; i.e., I had no opportunity to export the
data from within OE before my XP system crashed. The Import feature of
Thunderbird initially does not seem to be quite sophisticated enough for
it to do what I need it to do, although I am only just learning how to
use this program.
I welcome all hints, suggestions, links to technical articles, advice or
expressions of sympathy on how I can or cannot restore my Outlook
Express data on this Windows 7 computer using Thunderbird or any other
mail client. The data is there on the external hard drive and I am
hopeful there are hoops I can jump through to restore it and access it.
Thanks,
Duane
