Just my opinion, but 11 was the last completely stable JAWS version. It
runs very well on XP machines, and I don't think the newer versions gain
you that much.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Which version of JAWS for an older PC?
Hi,
The discussion of JAWS 15 has prompted me to ask the following. I have an
older XP SP3 computer with 2 GB of RAM running JAWS 11. It has IE 8 and
Office 2003 installed on it. I have installation discs for JAWS versions
12,
13 and 14. Which version would folks recommend I upgrade to to take
advantage of newer features? Or, should I just leave it at version 11 and
be happy?
Thanks,
Duane
