I can agree with the problems on yahoo. I even tried to make a new group and the way the site presents itself, the screen reader on my mac ends up reading each line 3 times. Also, there may be the little matter of a captcha (I use a paid service called rumola to get around this). Anyway, I am a member on several yahoo groups and I don't see the one issue that happens here: the =20= item at the beginning and ending of each line. It does make things rather hard to read.
