Howard:
I use Jaws 14 with Windows 7 here.
To find the properties of a folder:
1. Hit your alt key, and then up arrow until you hear properties.
2. Hit enter on properties.
3. Then, with your Jaws cursor, arrow down, and you'll start hearing the
properties of the folder.
I hope this helps.

How do I find out the properties of a folder in windows 7?
I need to know the size, number of folders and number of files.
I am using window-eyes 8.4, but can use jaws system access or nvda as well.
