Hi All,

The Alianza DxB was mentioned in the Emerging Technologies section of the
January Practical Wireless. The DxB is described as a docking station that
turns your smart phone into a two way handheld transmitter, and will cover
the amateur VHF and UHF allocation. Reading the details at:

http://www.alianzahd.com/

I believe the docking station is a bumper style case that you fit around the
phone. It will work with iPhones, including the iPod, Android, and
Blackberry.

The exciting prospect for a blind amateur, is that the Apple and Android
phones have built in accessibility, opening up the possibility of having a
fully accessible VHF/UHF handheld.

The DxB app runs on the phone, in the background, and the website states it
will be available soon. I will attempt to contact them about use with Voice
Over etc.

Best wishes, Kelvin Marsh - M0AID
