Hi John, I'm not familiar with the phone you have, but if you could get a
Galaxy S3, or an S4, they have a physical home button wich you can set to
answer calls, wich makes it much easier.  Most phones can be set to use
the power button to hang up.  If you are with Verizon, you can download
Mobile Accessibility, for free wich makes things much easier for first
time touch screen users.  I used it when I had my Stratisphere, wich ran
2.3, wich was not as accessible, and it made the phone much easier to
use. I was able to set my up volume button to answer calls and the power
to hang up!
