Hi:
I've just assembled a PC based upon a Shuttle HOT-637
motherboard with an Intel P-II 266MHz CPU.
I've had various issues with various components, namely
Win95 installation problems with a Seagate HHD, OEM
Trident video cards, and the DIMMs (which like to be
alternated in the banks). Every peripheral I swapped in
and out of the system was a known working part. Only
the motherboard and CPU (a boxed Intel) were new and
unproven.
Apparently, I now have a stable system but, after all the
Win95 installation problems, I am going to zero out (LLF)
the drive, FDISK and FORMAT and then install Win95
from scratch.
To avoid deja vu all over again, does anyone have any
advice (or experience) regarding the installation of Win95
using this motherboard?
Thanks, in advance, for your assistance.
regards,
John Chin
