We're going on a road trip soon from southern NJ to Atlanta, GA and on to Florida (and back...just taking 95 straight up, when we come home).

Although we know people who drive straight through to Atlanta in 13 hours, that's just not going to work for me. So we're looking to stop in Burlington, NC area.

Guessing at the maps so far, it looks like we're going straight down 95 and picking up 85 in Durham.

So we need a hotel near gf-friendly restaurants in that area, preferably along the highway.

I'm hoping someone who made the trip can make suggestions.

Second leg of the trip is down to Bushnell, FL (passing through, with a stop at a military cemetery...if they'll let me in!) and third leg is over to Cocoa Beach, FL.

If I wasn't gluten-free, we'd wing it, but I want to nail down hotels that are right off the highway...and near places to eat.

I'm o.k. with chains, especially if they have gf menus, and I'm good at googling, but I don't want to arrive somewhere in rush hour and find myself lost, after 7 hours of driving. Plus, I have diabetes and control it by diet and exercise. Won't get much exercise in the car, and healthy eating in the car is possible, but not easy.

Thanks.

Lin
