I apologize for my ignorance, but what is an "ATOm?"

Subject: Testers needed

Hello List,

We are developing an ATOm that will handle up to 1 KW of power. Anyone here
running high power who'd like to test a prototype?

The new device also has improved sensitivity at low power levels, with a
positive indication of 250 milliwatts. We're also using a 9-volt battery,
and the device ticks with no power so you don't forget to turn it off.
