Darren, To cover as many bands as possible suggests to me that one of the
SteppIr verticals might be just the ticket. I believe that the Big-Ir
covers 40 thru 6 meters, and also 80 with an optional coil. It has been
quite awhile since I read the specs of the SteppIr verticals, so there may
be other models that would fill the bill. I have been using SteppIr yagis
for about 9 years now, and I have had tremendously good service. Both of
the SteppIrs that I have owned were yagis, but I have several friends with
the verticals, and I have talked to lots of stations using the verticals,
and I haven't heard any complaints at all.
