Well, I'll have to look at the book, but I find that it occasionally
happens.

 

Yesterday, for the 20-meter net, I kept the input power to 60 watts, and
carefully adjusted the ALC, and had no problem.

Why would the relays trip?  I didn't think that amp had that kind of
protection circuit.  I ran my 590 at 100 watts driving my solid state metron
and never had any issues.
