Junior, good for you. I have been retired since July of 2009 and can say
that I have not missed work at all. I remember feeling kind of strange
asking myself why I was walking away from a perfectly good job when so many
other people were struggling and out of work. I realized that I was just
getting somewhat burned out and stressed though I was still trying to give
it my all. I also realized that having put in over 30 years I would get an
adequate pension and Social Security as well so could live comfortably
without working. That has proven to be the case and with money from playing
music gigs, I can by boy toys without hitting my regular income stream.
Best of luck and happy retirement! Jim WA6EKS

I have started the process for my retirement.
I will work until February 28 and on March 1st then I start burning all of
my leave time.
My official retirement date is August 1.
I will have 5 months of leave time to burn.
I am gonna have a lot of time for ham radio.
