You have to have the unit on to reset it.  Turn it on.  It doesn't matter if it
doesn't work.  This will, of course, require that a charged battery is in it or
that its plugged in.  Once its on, press the power butten and hold it for at
least seven seconds.  The unit will then reboot and you will hopefully be good
to go.
