This is Mike, KD2CDU,I had RF problems for almost a year off and 
on.  and I tryed jumpers, changed to thicker coax, and lots, it would 
cut it down, but it was there.  When I got the ts590, it went 
away.  But to be fair about it, the antenna didn't have a real good 
swr, about 3 to 1.  But the TS480 has a cable to the control head and 
that picked some RF up.
It is frustrating, but as with me, everyone was eager to help.  That 
is why it is quite gratifying to talk and be part of this group.
Now for something I thought was neat.  I talked to people on 10 
meters (FM), both simplex and through a repeater.  The repeater was 
in Dalas, and the person also was in texas.  My first (FM)
