Ah, ok, Howard.  I now understand.


I actually may be able to solve the problem another way, in that I think I
now have direct access to the latest winamp update.

Will install that, and then look on the options page to uncheck the check
for updates box.  However, it may be academic since apparently, the latest
winamp update will be the last.

Tom,

I am not a user of WinAmp.  The check box I was referring to is not in the
update screen, it is in the options of WinAmp, I believe on the General Tab
of options.
