Tom,

if your using update checker or ninite, go get the update that way. You can
also find it at winamp.com, but its hard to find that way. I'd get the
latest update as in the final version, AOL has turned off check for updates
plus it updated some security settings.

Bob:

Well, I would consider taking the chance and just doing the update, but
can't determine how to do that in the update window that comes up.

Plus, it seems a shame to do the update if the current version works just
fine.

Again, my problem is that I can't get out of the update window after playing
an audio stream without shutting the computer down.

Using Jaws 14 here with Windows 7.

Hi, all.

Well, I guess it's my turn to join Ed (K7UC) with a computer frustration for
the day.

I recently installed Winamp 5581 on this Windows 7 computer, and have found
that, whenever I access a streaming audio file on the web, I can't exit out
of Winamp when I am done because of an update Winamp screen that appears. I
do not want or need an update, but I can't find any way to get out of the
update window. The only way I can turn winamp offis to shut down the entire
computer.

Has anyone encountered this problem, and, if so, how have you resolved it?

I'm using Jaws 14 here.
