Thanks for being the volunteer tester for this list.  I've bought too many 
of these Chinese hts only to find out the newer model talks no more than the 
older model did.  I'm very interested in your report once you get a chance 
to play with the vr82 for a while.

    Just ordered one from radio-mart.
we'll see how it works out.

warning, if you try and order one from them on line, there is a capcha.
I asked him to look into fixing that, and he said he would bring it up to
his web site design company.

Very pleasant on the phone.
$77 for radio, speaker mic, and spare battery.
