That is true, and that's what I did on Judy's computer regarding the Delete
key on the number pad. In the default keyboard layout, you use the keys on
the six-pack for Insert, Delete, PgUp, PgDn, Home and End. You use the
arrow keys in front of thesix-pack for cursoring. You use the numpad Insert
or the capsLock as a modifier key for screen reader commands. Insert-1 (on
number row) turns Key Describer mode on and off. That's enough description
for now.

In response to Lloyd's post,
I believe one can remap the keys in WindowEyes to change their assignments
if you want to take the time to do so.
I do not use WindowEyes so I don't know this as fact.
