The amp is available with either a linear or switching supply. The model
number for the switching model is the ALS600S. I believe that it costs
several hundred dollars more than the original ALS600.

Hi;
Although I'm not in the market for an amplifier, kind of disappointed
that folks have had issues with the als600. Sounds like a decent
amplifier at a decent price. Does anyone know if the newer ones have a
switching supply?
