Harvey,

Yes there is a way to have multiple screenreaders on a computer.  Make sure
your second screenreader isn't made to automatically start when the computer
starts.  Here I have Jaws as primary and NVDA as secondary.

If I for example want to switch to NVDA I will shut down Jfw and hit the hot
key combo that starts NVDA.  When I am done with NVDA I will hit the insert
q keys.  That unloads NVDA.  I then will hit the hot key that relaunches
Jaws.
