Hi;
As long as you know what type of connector the radio uses your
conversation should be relatively straight forward. If your not
happy with one radio store 800 numbers rule so go shopping. A e
s got on my bad list when they wanted to charge to install a
speech board and c w filter. They have every right to charge and
I have every right to shop elsewhere and find a place that
doesn't charge. I have been using ham radio outlet but there are
lots of other stores.  richard

Lo.. for some reaosn I got this message twice. Anyway, yeah I
could probabl=
y get a quarter wave ruber duck, but that will not fit in my bag
and it's ma=
inly for n the go stuff although I live in such a bad area I
can't hit anyth=
ing more then about 5 miles away which kind of sucks. I could
call AES but h=
ere they are less then helpful. They don't even sell my radio,
only the big s=
tuff like the mobiles. lol! and they didn't even know the info
for their own=
 repeater. lol! I'll give them a try though even though they are
not very he=
lpful here. I"d ratehr buy from them on line so I don't have to
deal with t=
hem over the phone lol!

    Hi;
 I'm certain if you call your favorite radio store they can give
you lots=20=

 of choices for foldable quarter waves. Lots will disagree but
if you=20
 plan on operating from your favorite chair rather than operating
on the=20=

 move you can find foldable half wave antennas that have more
gain.  The=20=

 connector is very breakable so the longer antenna is only a good
choice=20=

 if there is no chance of hitting something. The other issue
even with a=20=

 foldable metal quarter wave is that they don't bend as a rubber
duck=20
 would. Thus I suspect if it hits something all the stress is on
the=20
 connector.
 Now that you have more questions than you started with:
