Hi Phil and Everyone,
Thanks so much for praying for Vernon and I.
I think I haven't sent one out yet.
I don't remember the last one I sent out.
I'll tell you all that on the 13th of March, Vernon did have the
Biopsy on the lung without any pain meds or drugs of any kind.
They took a total of 5 Biopsys.
The Nodule on the lung is 15MM in size.
It's definitely cancer.
Of course, this is recurrent cancer from the annicial colorectal
cancer Vernon had in 2002.
I've been working on an update, but I didn't get it finished yesterday.
We're both so tired yet from Mondays Planning meeting for the
radiation which will start next Wednesday.
Please pray for Vernon, as Vernon has some projects he needs to get
done this week, and they are not fun ones, either.
I'll get this report written up, however I was waiting for a call
from the Sanford Cancer center to know exactly when radiation would start.
We know he'll have 5 treatments.
I think this is called Stereo Tactic Radio Body Surgery.
On Monday afternoon, The thing that made us really mad, is that after
he saw the nurse at about 1:30 Pm, she said that he was scheduled to
see the doctor at 2 PM but that there were a few people ahead of him.
I wanted to say, well you folks scheduled the appointment, not us. I
didn't say that.
We waited for over an hour to see the doctor.
We told the nurse we were considering leaving. Then she took us back
into the room. We had been waiting in the waiting room.
I think she wanted to keep us quiet.
When the doctor came in at around 3:15 PM He did apologize for the
long wait, but still that was rude and there was no excuse unless
they had an emergency, but that was not the case.
His oncologist/radiologist is nice, but he is a real blabber.
When he asked Vernon what he did for a living, well, that was a mistake. lol.
Vernon told him, and he went off on a computer frenzy, talking about
his computer stuff that he's building. He kept switching back and
forth from computers to Vernon's radiation.
I was not impressed at all.
By the time Vernon got in to the CT scanner place and they got him
fitted with the bean bag that he layed on, and they took the
necessary scans, it was after 4:30, and then he had to wait for 20
minutes to see if the pictures were okay.
It was after 5 PM when we left.
We stopped at Sams, and then we stopped inBrookings to get some Rubin
Sandwitches from Arbees to eat when we got home.
It was 7:30 when we arived home, tired and hungry.
We had lots of things to put away before we could sit down and eat.
We thank you all and we appreciate all the love and prayers.
You are all Loving!
Thanks much.
Love and Many Blessings,
Pat Ferguson
