We're back online after more than 48 hours of downtime of our dsl 
following a major thunderstorm and being hit by lightening.

It turns out that our modem after ailing for a day or so died and we 
needed to buy a replacement. Qe now have a modem router combo for the 
first time. We bought the cheapest we could get and were blessed in 
that the interface is accessible but the language cannot be changed 
to English as I would prefer. It's a good thing that the interface 
needs rarely be accessed.

Anyway, thanks to you who prayed or just thought of us. *g*
