Here in Michigan, our section leadership appointed two individuals to head
up the two weeks of our W1AW/8 operation.  One person headed up our effort
this past February, and the other will coordinate things for us in October
when our turn comes around again.

It is my understanding that each appointed coordinator  can organize  things
however he/she sees fit, although I think that, in most cases, a concerted
effort is made to recruit willing, qualified and experienced volunteers as
much as possible.

Perhaps the best thing would be for you to contact your ARRL section leader,
find out who will be coordinating your section's efforts, and go from there.

I'm just curious;  what ARRL section are you in?
