As of now, I'm not sure if I'll be getting a second generation Stream. I
installed both ootunes and tunein pro on my ipod touch.

Very nice, Howard!
I wonder what other commonly-used ham radio frequencies are on ootunes.
I don't yet have a second-generation Stream, but am more seriously thinking
of getting one for the Internet radio capability, if nothing else, when the
budget allows,

I was messing around on ootunes, and I found a link for a receiver out of
New York, that monitors 14.300.
When their isn't a net on, neat place to check out your transmit signal in
to New York.
I listen on my stream, and transmit on a radio. Their is a maybe 20 second
delay.
