I didn't look at the complete menuing system as we took the radio apart about as
soon as I got there but the first one that I noticed being gone was the channels
for storing frequencies etc.  Tone capability seemed to be gone or severely
restricted as did some of the more commercial stuff such as identification
sequences.  You have to program those on the '5' series but I didn't see them in
the '8' menu at all.
