The G5RV notoriously is a poor match on 20M.

As I have said on this list previously, the wire section of the antenna is
only part of the scenario.
Lou Varney designed the antenna as a system which included an L C network
for tuning.

Subject: G5RV Question

I have a small G5RV (40 Meter) and all Bands except 20 Meters has a SWR of
1.5 or less on 20 Meters it is 2.7.
Any reasons why this should happen?
