Subject: Results-Special 9/11 Net

Thank you all for checking in to the impromptu "Special 9/11 Net" last
night. The most important thing was honoring the families and those that
lost their lives in the attacks on the Twin Towers. This was a huge success
as the net was called yesterday afternoon, advertised for 9pm, and all of
you were able to respond to the call on short notice. Your actions
demonstrated your respect for the families and lost ones, and how quickly a
group of Amateur Radio operators can respond in a short time. The results of
the net were:

87 total check ins from 14 States and from Toronto Canada.
41 - repeater - (145.430)
29 - Winlink - ([log in to unmask])
17 - Echolink - (wb4nws-r)

A Press Release has been issued and sent to the media. Thanks again for your
response!
