Michael,

You should be OK if you run a large ground wire directly down to the ground 
below your shack.  Some ground would be better than nothing.

Will you be able to put up an antenna at a Condo?  Condo associations are 
usually fairly strict.  Also, don't forget that you will be in close 
proximity to others and running 500 to 600 watts may be asking for a lot of 
head aches.  I only run 100 watts here in my home and I get in to stereos 
powered sub woofers and some computer speakers.

Don't forget the monthly, usually ridiculous, condo fees. and other 
unpredictable so-called emergency assessments charged by the association.

My intention is not to be negative, just pointing out problems others have 
had, don't want you to not have read the so-called-small-print.
