They reproduce whatever is being streamed  over your Wifi network.

You can control the volume and the content  with almost any remote  device including your iPhone, your iPod touch and your android device.

I have the boxes manuals and cords.

I also have a Sonos Playbar.
This can be used to enhance your tv audio.
Or, it is used for the three front channels for a surround sound system with the Play 3's.
