The Kenwood associated software works quite well. There are some little
things to get used to in it but it will more than meet your needs. You may
want to download the review of the radio that was posted yesterday from the
Active Elements website. I haven't read that but I know the great job that
goes into documents out there.

Thanks for the great clue, Colin! I plan to make the rig my gift to myself
after I pas my pending extra test. Do you know whether the associated
computer software is accessible?

Thanks again.

fixed station meaning a mobile with a power supply will work?
ok, then the kenwood TM V71A is the best radio to get with the speech board
installed.
lots of info online about the tm v71a so google for all the info you want
along with pricing.
