	In no particular order:

*Does the software know to use the
SL's sound card?

* Does the software know not to use comm port ptt? You want to set to 
"none" for comm port so the SL's built  in vox will work.
  If you have a serial cable connected to the radio, what happens if it 
is removed?


These things can usually be changed in a drop down menu like "setup" or 
"configuration".


* What do you have menu 50 E set at?
