This has not been mentioned yet, but consider whether you want to control it
with a computer. Besides being less accessible, and more complex IMOH, the
Yaesu rigs  don't offer as many rig control features. 

One thing I love about the Kenwood TS440 is that you have tons of choices
for rig control, including old DOS programs. The Icom control protocol is
basically ASCII so many rigs from icom are also controllable by lots of
software.
