Ah yes, the infamous Dick Cotton! He was before my time, but I remember
Ed Adams, W8BX, who some didn't get along with, but I never had any
problems with. He only lived a short distance from my parents QTH! I
will never forget, one time I had aquired a Claig, FM27B, wich for those
not familiar with it, was one of the first frequency ajile 2 meter fm
radios out in the early '70's. They were known for putting out spurs and
I had just been on a local repeater with mine, when I got a phone call
from Ed, who said, "John, if I were you, I would take that radio off of
the air!" If Memory serves, wasn't Dick Cotton's call W8DX?
