Usually, one's good for DX, very narrow and hard to listen to for a long
time, and one's a little more full and easier to listen to for rag chewing.
The MC-60, if stock, is good for rag chewing. I say if stock because I know
a lot of people who've put hail mic elements in them like the HC5 or that
god awful 4. I say it's that bad because it hurts to listen to for me but
gets you heard in a pile up. I'd never do that to anyone though. I have an
MC-50 in the closet that's got an HC5 element in it if I want it and my
MC-60A is completely stock.
