David, your message here was so full of garbage that it was almost totally
impossible to read. I sure don't know what you need to do, but this sure is
a huge problem, and for some reason, it seems more common on this list than
any others I am subscribed to

In an attempt to figure this out, please share with us everything you can
about your email handling program, and if it creates messages in text, html,
or some other format, etc. I fully realize it has to be as frustrating for
those of you who are having the problem as it is for us who are trying to
read your messages.

Only trying to find a solution,
Ron, K8HSY

Subject: VGS-1 promotion

Hello group:

Like many of you, I completed the rebate paperwork, and sent it to = Kenwood
before XMAS. The only thing received from them so far has been = that
=E2=80=9Cform=E2=80=9D letter.

As it=E2=80=99s well past the specified 60 day timeframe, I thought = that
I=E2=80=99d give Kenwoodusa(Georgia) a call(at least to let them = know that
I=E2=80=99m still alive!). I spoke with Phil Parton, = who=E2=80=99s in
charge of the promotion, and was told that the reason = for the backlog was
the promotion=E2=80=99s = =E2=80=9Cunexpected=E2=80=9Dsuccess.

After verifying that he wasn=E2=80=99t related to Dolly, he also said = that
the boards were being shipped in = =E2=80=9Cbatches=E2=80=9D(presumably from
Asia), and that as soon as = they =E2=80=9Ccleared=E2=80=9D customs at their
landing point in the = United States that they were being shipped to rebate
customers. I = don=E2=80=99t know anything about sound boards being sent to
retail = dealers, and I may be =E2=80=9Cnaive=E2=80=9D, but I don=E2=80=99t
feel = that this situation is some sort of conspiracy on Kenwood=E2=80=99s =
part(just an example of Murphy=E2=80=99s law).

Bottom line is that even though Kenwood =
hasn=E2=80=99t=E2=80=9Dtechnically=E2=80=9D lived up to the terms of =
the rebate, I don=E2=80=99t feel that I=E2=80=99ve suffered any damages =
beyond time, and frustration.

Someone could take this matter before =E2=80=9CJudge Judy=E2=80=9D if = they
choose, but Mr. Parton seemed genuinely sincere,so I=E2=80=99ll = live with
the frustration, and just wait a while longer. Just my 2 = cents on this
matter.
