I just had a q s o with a guy who bought a 590 and then decided after
getting some inheritance to buy a 990.  Well I guess he's set for a while
lol.  That's a real piece of change.

Hi Rob, 

I agree with everything you say here.  The effort required to attempt to
make the SDR rigs accessible wouldn't be worthwhile because the number of
blind hams who would be in a position to buy one of them would be incredibly
small, as the cost of these rigs is prohibitive.  I believe that the price
of the Flex 6700 is about $8,000, the same as the Kenwood TS990s.
