Hi John: 

I know you and a couple on this list run verticals. 
My XYL and I made up my radials over the weekend and I was wondering if I could use that uninsolated copper strand for radials as well? 
14 gauge 2 conductor house wire has actually 3 strands, 2 are insulated and the other is bare, used for ground I think.  
I have just as many bare strands as insulated ones.
