Hello, List!I will not be summarizing about this, I just wanted to make everyone aware of it. I saw a commercial on TV last night for Campbell's new "Well Yes!" line of soups. The commercial said the new soups contain things like black beans, red quinoa, lentils, noodles made with quinoa flour and white beans. I was super excited to get to the store to try these, as I assumed they would be gluten free.
However, once I could read the label at the store, the labels all show they are still putting wheat flour in these soups. I was so sad, as I thought that Campbell's was finally coming around and making healthier soups with naturally GF ingredients. Why they are still adding wheat flour is beyond me. Sure seems like they could increase their sales if they would make these so everyone could enjoy them, since all the ingredients they advertise are naturally GF. I mean a noodle made with quinoa flour is SUPPOSED to be gluten free!
I called Campbell's and gave them an earful about this. Here's their number in case anyone else wants to call them.1-888-710-7358. I mean, if someone out there doesn't read the ingredients on the label and just goes by the front of the label, someone could get very sick. Another reminder to always read labels.Denise
