If anyone is interested, I just posted a brief essay on my blog which
provides a brief overview of what open source software is all about and
why I find the whole movement so amazing. For computer veterans,
particularly those of you who know a great deal more about this than I
do, I doubt I'll be sharing anything you don't already know. For those
who may have heard of open source software but who have no idea what it
is, I try to explain at least some of it in plain English with the
geekspeak stripped out so that it will hopefully make sense.
The blog is in its early stages and I know there is a great deal of work
that I need to do with it but learning Wordpress is one of many
activities I need to be focusing on, so its evolution will likely be a
bit slow.
