Good luck Tom, and I'll certainly give you a QSO if I hear you. I don't
plan to compete. I'm proud to say that I won my section, STX, for class A
in 1988 and '89 I think it was. I was using a CW sending/logging program
I'd written for DOS on my PC XT. Of course it didn't hurt that I had a
tribander and 40 meter monobander up at that time.

Subject: ARRL CW Sweepstakes Contest, Anyone?
Hi, again, everyone.
As I said in my last post, I'm planning on giving the ARRL Sweepstakes CW
contest a shot this week-end.
The contest runs for 30 hours, from 2100 Z Tomorrow afternoon, until 0300 Z
early Monday morning. That translates to 5 p.m. tomorrow, until 10 p.m.
Sunday evening, if you take into account the switch to Eastern standard time
tomorrow night.
Personally, I feel the exchange in the Sweepstakes contest is a bit
cumbersome, but I'm going to give it a try anyway.
I'll be running in entry category A.--single op low power.
I certainly won't be able to operate nearly the full 30 hours, but hope to
get some good operating time in tomorrow and at least part of Sunday.
Hope to work at least some of you from here in west-central lower Michigan.
