Hi Alan, I for one, would love to try the text version of QRZCOM
especially because it might work great on my BrailleNote which is
in my shack away from the regular computer. I don't have Fred's
email nor did I even know about a text version of QRZCOM. 73,

Hello all. As I indicated I would, I wrote to my friend Fred
Lloyd, who
started qrz many years ago. When ever I have a question about a
qrz.com
matter, I alwayscall or write to Fred first. I asked him if he
had gotten
many complaints from blind hams regarding problems deriving
information from
qrz.com. Here is Fred's reply to me:
Hello Alan,
So nice to hear from you. I haven't heard from any blind hams in
the past
few months. I still offer the special text-only callsign lookup
page for
the blind, available by request. Any QRZ member wishing to use
it need only
drop me an email and I'll authorize the special page for them.
Best wishes,
-Fred
There you have it. I hope Fred's reply is of some help.

I just tried QRZ.com again and was able to click on email and get
the
address unlike earlier times. So I guess I will have to retract
my comment
about QRZ.com being very user unfriendly and say it's only
somewhat
unfriendly. Not that it matters for this list, but it reminded
me that I
need to upgrade my photo on that site, it was taken at my old

Hi all, why not use this site for call sign lookups.
http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp
works fine!
