Hi
We have a GE microwave, and my wife contacted them last month about
Braille overlays. They sent a packet of clear brail labels free of charge.
True, it isn't a "brail overlay". However, the brail is perfect for my
needs.
I hope this helps.
God bless,
Mark and my beautiful wife Noella

Hi Albert.
I am using Temo talking microwave oven. At last check, they were still
available through Wal-Mart, but through their online store only. It doesn't
speak everything, but we can still use it without labeling buttons. I am
not sure if Independent Living Aids still has the Temo or not. I got mine
when a friend of mine bought the I-Pal reader through Invision and they
offered a free microwave with the purchase of same. She already had one, so
she offered it to me.
If you can find the Cobalt talking microwave, it speaks more, but I think it
is overpriced at nearly $400.00. I am told that microwave is no longer made
for the United States market.
Braille overlays are getting hard to find as both GE and Whirlpool have
discontinued their Braille overlays. So the only thing you can do there is
make your own labels with dymo tape, and have a sighted person put them on.
That's our good old ADA for you. Good luck and 73.
Harvey
