For those of you with SteppIr antennas, W6QUV, Mike Cozzolino, has developed
a box that connects to the SDA100 that can speak the data produced by the
SteppIr DXA100 control unit. I will have one soon for my DB36. In order to
connect the talking box to the SDA100, you must send the controller to Mike
where he installs a small interface board into it. Once that has been done,
Mike ships the hadware back to you. I think that it will be of great
interest to blind SteppIr owners.

I believe that the cost is about $290 + shipping. Having used my DB36 for
several years, and my 4 element SteppIr for 6 years before that, I can tell
you how annoying it is to not be able to read the controller display.. When
I get mine get from Mike, and after I have had a chance to play with it, I
will post my experiences with it here.
